Elizabeth Frost, qualified as an optometrist in 1970 and offers a mobile ophthalmic service to people who, for
one 
reason or another, are housebound or cannot get out to an optician.
I visit the patients in their own home, where I conduct a full and thorough eye test. It’s a service offered to people who are entitled to an NHS-funded sight test, but who find visiting an optician challenging.
Equipment is brought into the home for the sight test, and it’s not just eyesight but eye health that’s checked as well. As an optometrist I examine both the inner and outer eye, which includes checking for any eye injuries or signs of disease.
Elizabeth 
carries a range of frames for those who have spectacles prescribed, priced to fit different budgets,
and these are then sent off to be made-up. Elizabeth then delivers and fits the spectacles.
I have a lot of experience of dealing with people who may have physical problems or dementia, and who can find eye tests a difficulty.
I provide NHS sight testing in the home for eligible local residents (living in Surrey).
